Corpus data, generally analyzed in written form and using computer programs such as AntConc (Anthony, 2014), may be collected from any type, or combination of different types, of text such as newspapers, books, and academic articles. Corpora, the plural form of corpus, are often made up of millions of words, and the collection of large numbers of such texts has been greatly facilitated by the digital age.
